Training and Education
Michael Walker received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a Minor in Criminal Justice from California State University Fullerton in 2001. He got into the medical field working as an EMT on an ambulance while attending CSUF. He later worked at various Orange County hospital Emergency Departments, also as an EMT. In 2003, he graduated with a Master’s of Science degree from his Physician Assistant program at Western University, much of which included practicing on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii. He has been working closely with Dr. Stephen Mikulak ever since. Michael assists in surgery, makes rounds on patients, diagnoses patients in the office for treatment of hip and knee disorders as well as other general orthopedic problems. He is trained in injections and prescribing medications for patients.
Michael enjoys a myriad of activities, from scuba diving, hiking, and rock climbing to reading and collecting antique books and playing the saxophone. His research in the field of Ethno-botany has published in a peer-reviewed Ethno-botanical journal.
